I’ve been asked quite a few times over the last few months by clients and fellow entrepreneurs whether or not I think they should have their picture displayed on their websites.
This is something I’ve gone back and forth on for my own websites. I think I am definitely leaning toward getting a professional shot to display on both of my sites and both blogs.
So what do you think?

It does help, from what I gathered. Sometimes it’s personal touch. Sometimes it projects professionalism. I would be putting up one too, except that I need a makeover first.
Looking fwd to yours - I’m sure it’ll be helpful!
I would say it doesn’t just depend on the picture but the company/site as well. What type of product or service are they selling and does a photo have a purpose? If the company is small/personal/family type business, they want a very personal experience, and the person understands possible problems that come with making their face public I say go right ahead. My issue with photos is that I’ve had clients that wanted to post group pictures with their employees and I always tell them that I won’t do that until I get permission from each individual.
Not coming from any professional experience, but based on the numerous web 2.0 webites I visit like digg.com and stumble. I have to say that the people who have photos of themselves in their profile tend to be more real to me and I look at the websites they bookmark alittle more seriously.
I changed the margin on the side, i tried setting it as the background and it didn’t work? how can i make it the full piece of paper?
im trying to get through weffriddles. (an online riddle game) im at a page wherer i know im supposed to see two pictures but i dont. with firefox, there is absolutly nothing there, with internet explorer the big boxes with a little red X in the corner are displayed.
Hi,Thanks for sharing this nice info…..keep it up….
I would say that based on some of the pics my female contacts have sent me, they are worth more like ten thousand words..most of them R-rated.
I’m sure it is worth quite a bit considering how difficult it would be to get all of them to sign a single piece these days. With an item like this, it is impossible to give it a specific dollar amount.

It depends on how old the picture is, and how good it is. I can’t really tell you. But since you say it’s autographed, it’s probably worth a couple thousand if not more. Not including the age, and how good the picture is. Also, it depends on the currency in your country if you don’t live in the United States.
Make one smell the pungent earth, feel the drops of rain as they fall on your warm skin, hear the wind rattle the leaves above you, know that the person in the poem is with someone they have never felt more in love with and know what the future holds for them. Poems are such powerful, wonderful gifts. Though I love paintings, photography and other visual art, I personally do not believe they will ever eclipse the power of a poem.
What do you guys think… Is a picture in an article worth more than words at times?
