A Virtual Paradox

As I checked in on my blogs this morning, I realized that it’s been way too long since my last post in all three of them.  It got me thinking about one of the unique challenges of sole proprietorships and entrepreneurs, especially those of us in the virtual business world.

We spend endless hours working on our own websites, blogs and countless online marketing approaches (forums, articles, etc.) anticipating the days when we’ll, hopefully, be overwhelmed with client’s work.

Online marketing whizzes often preach the necessity of consistency in all methods of networking, link building and the like.  You must stay active in the online communities to ensure that the results of all your time spent and hard work don’t bottom out due to a few days absence.

Here’s the catch.  If you are your own boss AND staff, what happens when you have a full workload?

Obviously, your first priority must always be your clients and efforts that will earn money in the short term.  BUT since there are always only 24 hours in a day, its inevitable that some parts of your daily success agenda have to be sacrificed.

I’d love to give you the answer to this virtual paradox, but sadly I do not have one…merely an observation and excuse for my lackluster blogging pattern from the last week :)
